However, there are chances that it may not be able to spot a location correctly or show directions (especially if it’s a small town and the location data isn’t available). In such cases, a tool like Scribblemaps could come in handy. It is an online tool that lets you draw effortlessly i.e scribble on Google Maps. You can edit maps by drawing lines, arrows, adding text, shapes and markers to any area. One of the best things about this tool is that it allows you to save your edits and then share them via email or social networks. Hence you could use it to point out the exact location and then share it with someone who needs to know. The map could be embedded on your website or blog or shared through the Facebook wall. You can password-protect your map too. After saving, it will generate a link for the map. You can share this URL via different social media sites or email them to your friends. The editor that comes with this tool is nice. You can do various things like placing markers and text (advance text setting also available), creating a custom widget and more. The map can be saved in GPX (GPS exchange format) and KLM format. Apart from Google Maps, there are several other maps available too. You can view maps by selecting different services at the bottom-right. These services are Openstreetmap, Cloudmade, Cloudmadeplus, Astra etc. You may preview maps in Satellite view, just like you do in Google Maps.
