Well, we’ll try to make it a bit easier for Android users today. Contacts+ for Android is a very powerful Android contact managing app that not only helps you to manage your contacts, but also integrates SMS and call log data, as well as social media connectivity for seamless control.

Contact+ for Android

After you install Contact+ and open it, a few welcome images later you will see all your contacts in grid view in the middle contact tab. You can swipe left to open the messaging module and on the right is the call log section. If you have assigned photos to your contacts manually or using any of the Facebook contact syncing app, the gridview will actually look good. But if the photos are missing for most of the contacts, you can switch to list view from the app settings. The contacts are not arranged alphabetically unlike most of the Android contacts management apps out there and the app’s algorithm sorts them automatically based on the calling frequency. However, you can always change it to A-Z order from the settings. A long tap on any of the contacts will give you options to call, SMS or email the contact. Every section has a small dialer icon at the bottom of the screen, tapping on which will bring up the phone dialer for you to make calls. You may also search for contacts using the T9 keypad and its smart search will return the matching contacts to you.

Contact+ Features

The messaging and call log sections are pretty simple and you cannot compare it with dedicated SMS management apps like Go SMS and Evolve SMS. However, the app does show on-screen pop-ups to directly read and reply to incoming messages.

The fun starts when you open up contact info in the app. Contact+ will list all the linked contacts for the person from his social accounts and you can directly see all the updates from the user without opening related apps for the same. The first time you use any of the services, you will have to log in to your respective account and link the contact if not identified automatically. The app also syncs contact information, including their profile pictures as display images.

Merge Duplicates and Birthday Reminders

In addition to that, the app helps in merging duplicate contacts from various accounts. In the app settings, select the option Merge Duplicates and let the app do the rest for you. The app also reminds you of upcoming birthdays right in the Android notification drawer.

Conclusion

Contact+ is a great app to manage all your contacts from different social networks under a single roof. The app might be a little heavy for devices on limited CPU and RAM, but if that’s not a concern for you, it’s the one contact management app you must try out.
